Eilat Ranked Number 6 In New York Times “52 Places to Go in 2019”
Eilat makes the number 6 slot in the coveted New York Times list of “52 Places to Go in 2019”. The Red Sea resort at Israel’s southernmost tip and the easily accessible Negev desert are becoming ever more popular, thanks to the arrival of tens of thousands of tourists on nearly 60 weekly flights during the winter season, mainly from Europe, Scandinavia and Russia. The international low-cost and scheduled flights currently land in Ovdah airport, but, from March, they are expected to land in the new Ramon International airport at Timna.
