ENGLEWOOD, NJ - (October 28th, 2015) - MarketCounsel, the leading business and regulatory compliance consulting firm to the country's preeminent entrepreneurial investment advisors, today announced that Kristen Niebuhr has joined the firm as its Director of Practical Compliance.
Niebuhr comes to MarketCounsel from Source Financial Advisors, where she served as the firm’s president and chief operating officer since its inception. Prior to that post, she was the chief administrative officer for Alexandra & James (currently Lebenthal & Co.) where she was responsible for the firm’s operations.

Niebuhr has seen it all from the perspective as a consultant, employee and executive of independent advisory firms, specializing in building regulatory compliant operations programs for both startup and mature advisors. She also brings her perspective from initial roles within teams at traditional wirehouses, including Merrill Lynch and Smith Barney. All told, Kristen she has nearly 30 years of financial industry experience.
As Director of Practical Compliance, Niebuhr will oversee regulatory compliance integration for MarketCounsel clients, ranging from early-stage breakaway advisory teams to mature and seasoned firms.
