MADISON, Wis. (Sep. 15, 2016) – Fiskars is proud to announce that its IsoCore tools have been named a finalist for Fast Company’s 2016 Innovation by Design Awards, honoring the most innovative and disruptive design solutions for today’s business problems.

This year’s judging panel, which was comprised of the world’s best design minds, selected the finalists from among 1,700 submissions from 41 countries in 11 categories – the most ever in the program’s five years. Finalists represent the top 10 percent of entries in each category.

Fiskars’ line of IsoCore tools, which includes hammers, sledge hammers, a maul and a pick, features a patented design that absorbs vibration and shock, reducing the impact felt by the user. Each IsoCore tool has a unique insulation sleeve that helps reduce vibration by up to four-times when compared to traditional wood-handled tools. With advancements from the handle to strike face, the IsoCore tools are engineered to maximize comfort with every swing and make tough jobs easier on the body.

“We’re thrilled to be recognized by Fast Company for our continued passion for innovation,” said Paul Tonnesen, President at Fiskars Americas. “Isocore tools are just one example of our worldwide dedication to design and performance, which has been an integral part of Fiskars for the past 367 years.”

All finalists are highlighted on the FastCoDesign.com website and in the October issue of the print magazine, which hits newsstands September 20, 2016.
