Nordic defence ministers meeting in Arvidsjaur and Luleå on 10–11 March

During 2015, Sweden is the chairman for the Nordic Defence Cooperation. The Minister for Defence, Peter Hultqvist, will host the Nordic defence ministers meeting on the 10th to 11th of March in Arvidsjaur and Luleå Sweden.

The ministers will discuss the changing security environment in the Nordic neighbourhood, Cross Border Training, international operations and cooperation on Cyber Defence.

The Nordic ministers will also sign an agreement between the Governments of Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden concerning Cooperation in the Defence Materiel Area..

A press briefing will take place on Tuesday 10th of March. The briefing will be attended by the Minister for Defence Peter Hultqvist, the Danish Minister of Defence Nicolai Wammen, the Norwegian State Secretary (dep. Defence Minister) Øystein Bø, the Finnish Minister of Defence Carl Haglund and Director of Department for Security and Defence Arnor Sigurjónsson.
