The bid expires tomorrow Friday 14 October.
– We consider GE as a solid and relevant owner, which is able to support a positive development of Arcam, says Olof Jonasson, Head of Equities at Första AP-fonden. 

Through the bid, Första AP-fonden’s investment in Arcam will be very favorable. In just over a year, the investment has increased in value with more than 100 percent, corresponding to 250 MSEK.

Stockholm, 19 February 2016 – Första AP-fonden’s net investment income after expenses for 2015 amounted to SEK 11.3 billion. The return was 4,0 percent after expenses, which is in line with the Fund’s target. The average annual return of the Fund after expenses for the past 10-year period is 5.5 percent. Real return (i.e. adjusted for inflation) after expenses for the same 10-year period is 4.4 percent – above the Fund’s long-term target.

The lawsuit has been filed in response to losses suffered by Första AP-fonden in the region of US$35.5m (equal to around SEK 230 million) during 2008 as a result of investment decisions taken by BNYM on Forsta AP-fonden’s behalf.
