Fortum shares subscribed for with share warrants

The following shares have been subscribed for with Fortum Corporation's share
warrants in October 2005:

The corresponding increase in share capital has not yet been entered in the trade
register.

The next time when subscriptions related to all of Fortum Corporation's option
schemes will be registered is on or around 9 December 2005 at which time trading
will commence with shares subscribed for by the end of November 2005.

The previous time when Fortum Corporation's share capital was increased as a
result of share subscriptions based on the option schemes was on 8 September
2005.
