Fortum appoints Joanna Hofman and Helena Aatinen as Vice Presidents in Corporate Relations and Sustainability

Fortum Corporation has appointed Ms. Joanna Hofman, MA, International Relations (with emphasis on Russian affairs), as Vice President, Corporate Relations & International Affairs. The position is new and she will join the company on 6 June 2011. Prior to her appointment, Hofman has served as the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Finland during 2007–2011, as Political Counselor in the Embassy of the Republic of Poland to the USA during 2005–2007 and before that in several management and expert positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland in Warsaw.

Fortum Corporation has appointed Ms. Helena Aatinen, MSc (Econ), as Vice President, Corporate Communications as of 1 August 2011. She will be responsible for Fortum's Financial Communications as of mid-September 2011. Aatinen joins Fortum from the Finnish Forest Industries Federation where she has served as Director, Communications since 2005. Prior to this, Aatinen worked in Metso Corporation's communications since 1997 and as Communications Director during 2002–2005.

Both Hofman and Aatinen will report to Anne Brunila, Executive Vice President, Corporate Relations and Sustainability.
