PERLOS CORPORATION SUSPECTED OF NEGLECTING ITS DUTY OF DISCLOSURE

Fortum Corporation has today been informed about suspicions concerning an
alleged delay in Perlos Corporation's profit warning in the turn of the year
2002-2003. The public prosecutor has decided to prosecute Fortum Corporation's
CEO Mikael Lilius and certain other members of the Board of Directors of Perlos
Corporation in 2002-2003 for having neglected the disclosure duty of the
company. Lilius was a member of the Board of Directors of Perlos Corporation
from the year 1997 to 2003. 

Lilius denies the charges as groundless.
