Today, 3 April 2008, Fortum submitted to the Ministry of Employment and the Economy the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report for a new, 1,000-1,800 MW nuclear power plant unit (Loviisa 3) to be built on Hästholmen island in Loviisa. The EIA indicates that a new nuclear power plant unit can be built on Hästholmen island.
