Fine Arts market at Eberbach Abbey

A little gem called Eberbach Abbey is situated close to the town of Eltville in the famous Rheingau, home to some of the finest Rieslings Germany has to offer. Sean Connery had set foot in this beautiful abbey when shooting the movie “The Name of the Rose”, based on the book by Umberto Eco. The abbey will turn into a Fine Arts market featuring the diverse works of 140 German artists and designers on October 28 and 29, 2017, from 10:00 to 18:00. Sculpture, jewelry, fashion, porcelain – the choice is yours! Take your time with experiencing this exceptional place and one of the finest art markets in the region. A guided tour through the abbey and its stunning history will also be available.

New AC Hotel opens in Mainz

This summer, the first AC Hotel ever in Germany opened in the city of Mainz. New museum in the Vogelsberg

Only a one and a half hours’ drive north of Frankfurt it gets really volcanic! Last month, Vulkaneum (webpage in German only), a brand-new museum, opened in the town of Schotten in the Vogelsberg, an area renowned for its breathtaking and verdant surroundings, as well as its volcanic treasures. The museum takes visitors on a journey through amazing and hot volcanic history. Its 12 interactive stations provide a combination of knowledge and fun suitable for all ages: visitors can experiment and learn about volcanic activity and its influence on nature close by. Experience geological evolution up-close – it will simply amaze you!

The Frankfurt Shop Finder

Frankfurt is not only a city ripe for culinary, cultural and historical adventure. It’s also a city that makes sure you don’t get lost while shopping!
