The Future Energy Forum of Astana EXPO-2017 (29 June – 5 September 2017) marks a new and pioneering chapter in the story of global discussions on dealing with climate change and new energies.

As host of Astana EXPO-2017, Kazakhstan looks forward to the future of energy development. The Future Energy Forum is designed to inform, inspire and innovate by fostering participation and exchange, and actively create an international and unique platform for a global future of renewable energy.

Attendees include high-level government representatives, international agencies, leading scientists and academics, NGOs, visionaries and leaders, innovators in industry and engineering, and other key players and stakeholders in the energy sector. Conference 1: The Energy Revolution (29 – 30 June 2017)

The Energy Revolution (29 – 30 June 2017) is the first of a series of 12 conferences. The Kazakh government ceremoniously opens the doors to the Astana EXPO-2017 Future Energy Forum, providing a vital space and an opportunity to focus on the international energy revolution.

Among the speakers of this first conference are:

  • Mr Sergey Korotkov, Director of UNIDO Center for International Industrial Cooperation in the Russian Federation
  • Mr Rana Singh, Industrial Development Officer at United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO)
  • Prof R Andreas Kraemer, Founder & Director Emeritus of the Ecologic Institute
  • Prof Anders Levermann, Professor of Dynamics of the Climate System at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, Germany

The British TV presenter Dallas Campbell will host the Energy Revolution conference.
