Gast Group adds four new service centres to its expanding European network

The Gast Group – a leading designer and manufacturer of compressors and vacuum pumps and a member of IDEX Corporation’s health and sciences division – is continuing the expansion of its European business and has announced an increase in its authorised service centre network with the signing of four new service agreements.

Enerfluid S.A.S. has been appointed for France and southern Europe; Lancier Monitoring GmbH will cover Germany, Austria and Switzerland; Tech-Air Benelux B.V. has been appointed for the Benelux region; and Granzow A/S for Denmark and the Nordic countries. The UK and Ireland will continue to be serviced via Gast Group’s European headquarters at Redditch in the UK.

Service engineers from the four new service centres have been trained at Redditch or Gast Manufacturing’s Benton Harbor facility in the US and are now authorised to fulfil maintenance and repairs to both GAST and JUN-AIR products. In a move to increase the focus and support for existing aftermarket programmes, each authorised centre will also keep service kits and spares as stock items.

Commenting on the benefits for its customers, Gast Group’s sales director Andre Goodson explains that the signing of the new service agreements complements the company’s European headquarters. “For warranty and non-warranty repairs, OEMs and users of GAST and JUN-AIR equipment throughout Europe will now have regional access to fast and reliable service performed by trained engineers. They will also benefit from an increased level of OEM spares in their region and, in some cases, be able to take advantage of loan equipment while their systems are being serviced or repaired.”

The agreements also complement recent personnel appointments for central and southern Europe and the restructuring of the Gast Group’s European distributor partners. It is also a significant step towards a more simplified business structure; ensuring that new and existing products are brought to market as quickly as possible; and global coverage of its two brands is increased through a regional network of certified service providers.

“By building relationships with distributor partners and authorised service centres, and ultimately taking control of where and by whom our compressors and vacuum pumps are purchased, serviced and maintained, we are improving product knowledge and training to better serve our customers.” says Andre.
