The free event will feature advice on vitamins and health, raffles, make-overs, goodie bags and refreshments.

It takes place between 11am and 2pm at Gateshead Carers Association, 11 Regent Terrace. Gateshead. NE8 1LU.

The event is part of an ongoing partnership between the pharmacy division of Boots the Chemist at Gateshead MetroCentre, and GCA.

Café 1901, in Jesmond, Newcastle, hosts its first exhibition by members of Gateshead Carers Association (GCA) this month.

The art exhibition on the theme of food and café culture runs until the first week of July 2011 when a display by GCA’s photographic group on the theme of Writing with Light takes over.

The mixed art group has been meeting weekly at Gateshead Carers Association for the past four years, working closely with colleagues from the photography class.
