Every hour of every day, lives are being saved in intensive care units and Getinge play an important role in providing ICU solutions along the patient pathway – from admission to discharge. “Intensive care units are the locations where the most difficult to treat patients are often staying for days or even weeks. Our expertise in the ICU enables our customers to help further improve the care and the outcome of patients” shared Markus Stirner-Schilling, Vice President Marketing & Academy Europe Middle East & Africa

On day one, clinical experts delivered a scientific program through presentations and discussions on acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) management and haemodynamic monitoring, the positive effects of a healing environment and early mobilization. “The ICU experience meeting was ideal for discussion and interaction with colleagues from around the world. The Academy also exhibited different types of operating rooms and ICUs for the future” said Manu L.N.G. MALBRAIN, MD PhD, Intensivist, ICU and High Care Burn Unit Director, ZNA Stuivenberg & Medical Director, ZNA Stuivenberg ZNA St-Erasmus Antwerp, Belgium.
