South African Gripen MAKES ITS DEBUT

Linköping, Sweden: South Africa’s first completed Gripen fighter was unveiled today in a roll-out ceremony as it left the production line.

On the 5th August, at one of Eastern Europe’s biggest air shows in Kesckemét, Hungary, the Red Bull F1 race team and the Swedish Air Force Gripen fighter aircraft joined forces to show the more than 100 000 spectators what speed and agility really is. Czech government confirms Gripen
selection

The government of the Czech Republic at a cabinet meeting today has
confirmed the recommendation of its evaluation committee to select
Gripen as the interim air defence solution to meet the Czech Republic's
national and NATO needs.

Gripen will replace the Russian MIG 21 aircraft currently operated by
the Czech Air Force.
