Five lucky Chelteham motorists have won £2,000 worth of free car parts in a national competition by GSF Car Parts.

Local business owner, John Robinson won £250 worth of parts to help keep his courier company moving.

Running a total of four vans and estate cars, the J R Couriers Ltd fleet does over 100,000 miles each year. John decided to enter ‘Get Your Motor Running’ to try to reduce some of his ongoing vehicle maintenance costs.

“My company vehicles do some really big mileages, all at my own cost”, said John.

“As a one-man enterprise, the current economic situation means that I always have to give 110%, as you never know what’s just around the corner. This kind of help makes a huge difference to a small business owner like me.”

26-year old Jon Ryan won £250 to spend on what he affectionately refers to as his ‘Mazdarati’: a 2009 Mazda 6 which he purchased earlier this year and now requires a new fuel injector and exhaust.

“Before the Mazda I owned a Peugeot 206 GTI, but it developed a BSI (Built-in Systems Interface) issue, which just wasn’t financially worth repairing”, said Jon.

“You’d need to be a millionaire to fix all the of the car problems I’ve had recently, so this voucher has come at just the right time!”

Other winners included Cheltenham motorist, Richard Marsh who won £250 in car parts to use on his classic car collection.

As the owner of a Toyota MR2, and Audi TT and a Land Rover Discovery, Richard is a regular customer at the Cheltenham branch of GSF.

Shaun Dooner, Branch manager at GSF Car Parts Cheltenham, said: “This competition has been a great opportunity to give something back to our loyal local customers.”

GSF Car Parts supply a full range of car parts and accessories for all makes and models.
