The partnership between Aalto University Executive Education (Aalto EE) in Finland and GU School of Executive Education (GUSEE) in Sweden signed in late 2015 aims at delivering joint customized programmes, as well as open enrollment programs, and deepening cooperation between Executive MBA programmes.

Dr. Pekka Mattila, Professor of Practice, Aalto University and Group Managing Director, Aalto EE is lectured in the Change Management module of the Gothenburg Executive MBA programme April 21-23.

Wrapping up the 21 months of extensive part-time studies with this final module of the programme, the participants will understand the key parameters and phenomena of change and resistance to change and they will utilize and apply practical tools and frameworks for analyzing, planning and preparing for change as well as for implementing change in a sustainable manner.

– The Gothenburg Executive MBA is among the leading Nordic programs. It has a crucial role in educating new generations of leaders also from a number of globally well-known brands, who are in the process of reinventing themselves in the midst of intensifying international competition. I have high expectations of the collaboration between our institutions. Something that propels this is the fact that our capabilities are complementing each other and we have a shared understanding of what both quality and ambition take, says Dr. Pekka Mattila.

– We are truly pleased to have Dr. Pekka Mattila share his extensive knowledge on change management theories and practices with our participants. In this way the Change Management module becomes the capstone of their entire learning experience, as it aspires to tie together virtually all of the Executive MBA programme and prepare each participant to skillfully drive sustainable change in their respective home organisations, says Håkan Ericson, Managing Director of GU School of Executive Education.

Another imminent joint activity between Aalto EE and GUSEE will be the opening up of “electives basket”. This means that selected modules of our respective Executive MBA programmes will be opened for exchange to students from the other school’s programme.
