Luxury cosmetics retailer, Marionnaud, has signed a deal with Gunnebo Gateway for the installation of electronic article surveillance systems in its stores. The contract stretches over five years and includes installation of the Gateway systems in 1,200 stores in 11 European markets.

Marionnaud is Europe’s largest perfumeries and cosmetics retailer with over 1,200 stores in 11 countries including France, Italy, Spain and Portugal.

To prevent shoplifting and reduce shrinkage, Marionnaud has selected Gunnebo Gateway as its electronic article surveillance (EAS) technology partner. The retailer will install Gateway EAS systems across its stores on several markets as part of a five-year roll-out plan which will also include customer analytics software.

“Gunnebo Gateway is a customer-focused supplier of fully integrated loss prevention solutions,” says Roger Fernandez, Head of Security at Marionnaud Group. “This new partnership is an exciting prospect which will be beneficial to both parties.”

“We are proud to be supporting the growing Marionnaud brand by providing high performance EAS solutions,” says Tomas Wängberg, Chairman of Gunnebo Gateway.

Gunnebo Gateway is a leading developer and manufacturer of electronic article surveillance systems for loss prevention in retail. Based in Sweden, it supplies anti-theft technology for fashion, hardware, electrical goods, food and cosmetics retailers around the world.
