CHESTER ZOO WELCOMES TWO NEW ADDITIONS FROM HALFORDS

Report this content

Chester Zoo are happy to welcome two new additions: a pair of bikes! The two Pendleton Somerby Hybrid bikes, were donated by Halfords to help the First Aid team at the zoo attend emergency situations more quickly and efficiently.

The Pendleton Hybrid bikes, are the ideal bicycle to tackle the 11 miles of footpath at the zoo, with their built in mudguards and chainguards, they are able to keep the First Aid team clean and dry on their travels.

The First Aid team chose the bikes as they have the distinctive retro look of that of the bikes that would transport district nurses around in the 1950’s. The luggage rack and the vintage basket add on are also perfect for safely carrying all of their necessary First Aid supplies.

Halfords would like to wish Chester Zoo’s First Aid team safe travels on their new bikes and hope that they can continue to carry out the fantastic service that they provide to the public on a daily basis!
