HALFORDS TO PITCH UP AT UK FESTIVALS THIS SUMMER

Halfords, the UK’s leading motoring, cycling and camping retailer, has launched a Tent Pre-Order Service for two of the UK’s biggest summer festivals.

To help customers attending Sonisphere and Camp Bestival make the most of their outdoor experiences, Halfords is making a range of tents available to order online for collection at each festival’s campsite.

Richard Bowen, from Halfords, said: “Festival-goers usually have a car full of food and drink before they even try to pack their camping equipment, so an on-site collection service is likely to prove extremely popular.”

Whilst Sonisphere (4-6 July) attracts crowds that turn up to hear rock royalty such as Iron Maiden and Metallica, Camp Bestival is more of a ‘festi-holiday’ that is popular with families but both audiences can use the convenient service and will be supported by on-site pop-up Halfords shops where they can buy any lost, forgotten or broken essentials.

To appeal to the two audiences the pre-order service allows customers to choose from a range of affordable tents - from the Aventura 2 person pop up tent (£25.00) to the 5 person Urban Escape Atago (£180.00), pay in advance and select the option to collect on-site at the festival entrance.

These pop-up festival collection sites build on the success of Halfords existing ‘click and collect’ service - which sees around 90% of customers purchasing online collect their purchases from stores – and is set to appeal to the 90,000 music-lovers expected to attend the two events.

Richard Bowen added: “This hassle-free service, together with Halfords on-site presence, ensures campers can focus on enjoying the music and festivities knowing they’ll have somewhere to rest their head at night.”

Customers can place their order via Tent Pre-Order Service from today at Halfords.com/campbestival and Halfords.com/sonisphere.
