Once a niche boutique purchase for the first time Fixies will feature in selected Halfords superstores from 1st March.

Halfords is adding three new Fixed Gear bicycles to its existing online collection and will be showcasing the trio in cities nationwide.

Popular with London couriers, fashionable cyclists and those looking for a different type cycle work-out, the fixed gear craze is taking the UK by storm. With the market estimated at over 10,000 units per annum.

Halfords new Fixies are fashionable, low maintenance additions to its popular road range. All incorporate the distinctive ‘Flip Flop’ hub enabling riders to choose between using a fixed, or as with more conventional bikes; a freewheel setup. Priced extremely competitively starting from £249.99 for Halfords own brand Real Singolo’s retro road styled bike, complete with dropped bars and finished with leather effect tape and saddle. The VooDoo Lofa’s striking design is sure to stand out from the crowd with its deep section painted rims, interrupter brakes and relaxed riser bars is priced £299.99. The crowning glory of the range, a 2013 Create Original is priced at £329.99.

The bikes are available from www.halfords.com and selected superstores from 1st March.
