Hallmarq Veterinary Imaging, manufacturer of the only high field MRI specifically developed for companion animals, has announced that the AAHA Accredited Referral Hospital of the Year 2015, Coral Springs Animal Hospital in Florida, is to install a 1.5T PetVet MRI.  This leading edge hospital is becoming known for its expertise in neurosurgery and rehabilitation and being able to offer high quality diagnostic imaging will be a key element in the future development of these services.

The Coral Springs Animal Hospital has just added a residency trained, board qualified neurologist and hopes to add a second Board-certified Neurologist in the spring of 2016. The specialty/referral staff include two Board-certified Surgeons, Two Board-certified Internists, and Board-certified specialists in oncology, ophthalmology, behavior, cardiology, radiology, and sports medicine and rehabilitation, making the hospital one of the most comprehensive facilities of its kind.

In addition to providing advanced imaging, neurosurgical services, and a broad array of rehabilitative capabilities, the Hospital will be able to diagnose and treat a wide range of neurological diseases, ranging from seizures to brain tumors.

PetVet offers a number of unique features that have made it attractive to Coral Springs Animal Hospital, such as high quality imaging of difficult to view structures, based on an FDA approved magnet which is already established in over 200 human hospitals worldwide and veterinary specific sequencing. Other attractive features include built in RF shielding that allows the MRI to be positioned within the existing building and high quality technical support consistent with the hospitals 24/7/365 ethos.

Hospital Director, Lloyd Meisels DVM says, “With the essential medical expertise and sophisticated equipment on site, the neurology service will provide an exceptional client and patient experience every time. We will do so by delivering the highest standard of medical excellence and strive to meet and exceed the ever changing needs of referring veterinarians, our community, and the pet owning public.”

Jos Belgrave, Hallmarq CEO has welcomed the news commenting “Dr. Meisels and his clinical staff are much admired for both their clinical and business acumen and Coral Springs Animal Hospital is an excellent veterinary hospital with very high standards. We are delighted that PetVet MRI has been chosen to support the facility to deliver best-in-class service in neurology.”
