London, UK – Friday 27 November, 2009; Jenson Button will be paying a special visit to the Karting Show at Autosport International 2010, at the NEC Birmingham, to support the Super One 2009 championship awards presentation on Saturday 16 January.

The UK’s premier national karting series from which the newly-crowned FIA Formula One World Champion learnt his craft, Jenson will present the Super One trophies for the top three drivers across the Cadet, KF1 MSA British Kart Championship, KF2 and KF3 Junior British Kart Championship classes from 3.20pm. An amazing 34 wins from 34 starts crowned Jenson the Super One Cadet Champion back in 1991. He went on to take the Junior TKM series title the following year, proving that graduating from Super One to Formula One really can be a reality for budding future motorsport champions. Super One Series Marketing Director John Hoyle said: "We're delighted that Jenson has taken time out of his busy schedule to return to his karting roots. We sincerely congratulate Jenson on his fantastic achievements this year. He is a true inspiration to our competitors who will be overjoyed to meet him at the Karting Show at Autosport International." As well as welcoming Jenson as guest of honour, Super One will boast its brand new showcase stand to be one of the leading exhibitors at the Karting Show at Autosport International. The specially designed scheme includes a reception desk, where competitors can sign-up for the 2010 series, that transforms into a stage platform from which the silverware will be awarded to Britain’s top karters. A giant plasma screen playing the 2009 season highlights will also be a prominent feature. Fans can join Jenson, Britain’s newest F1 Champion, in celebrating his 2009 season success at Autosport International, on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 January. Not only will visitors get the chance to see the driver at the NEC-based show but also the machinery that helped him win his title, as the Brawn GP car will be on display along with all of the cars from the 2009 grid.
