Pepyn Dinandt appointed CEO of Hilding Anders

Malmö, Sweden, December 14 --- Pepyn Dinandt has been appointed CEO and member of the Board of the Hilding Anders Group, Europe’s, Russia’s and Asia’s leading bed manufacturer. Mr Dinandt replaces Christer Åberg who has decided to step down from his position. The change was made in effect on December 8, 2016.

Pepyn Dinandt has a long track record from international industries and extensive experience working for both private equity as well as publicly listed companies. Most recently, he took over the chairmanship and CEO position of the KKR portfolio company, URSA Insulation S.A., a leading European insulation provider. Prior to that, he worked for a number of years as the CEO of Braas Monier Building Group, a leading global manufacturer and supplier of pitched roof products in Europe and parts of Asia and South Africa. During his tenure, Braas Monier Building Group was successfully publicly listed in Frankfurt during the summer of 2014.

A Dutch citizen, Pepyn Dinandt holds a degree in Economics from the University of Wales. He is 55 years old and resides in Munich with his family.

Ownership and key facts

Hilding Anders is Europe’s, Russia’s and Asia’s leading provider of beds and mattresses. The company had net sales of €917m and EBITDA profit of €127m in 2015. Private equity firm KKR recently acquired Arle’s stake in Hilding Anders and is subject to regulatory clearances. Hilding Anders is based in Malmö. Founded in 1939 in Bjärnum, Sweden, the company offers a broad brand portfolio including the core brands Askona, Bico, Carpe Diem Beds, CUREM, Hilding, Jensen and Slumberland. The company produces also private label concepts for international and local furniture retailers as well as bedding specialists.

Hilding Anders operates close to 1,200 retail outlets in Russia, China and Croatia. The home market, Sweden, today stands for less than 10% of Group net sales.
