HiQ behind Wärtsilä’s global intranet

In close collaboration with Wärtsilä, HiQ has developed the concept for their new global intranet.
18,000 employees in 70 countries benefit from the improvements.

Wärtsilä is a global leader in advanced technologies and complete lifecycle solutions for the marine and energy markets. The new social, mobile intranet is providing targeted information for users based on individual needs and intuitive search experience with well-planned and scalable information architecture. 

 HiQ has developed a new concept as well as handled the technical implementation and migration from SharePoint 2010 server to Office 365. The new intranet is an important step in the process of simplifying the everyday work for Wärtsilä’s 18,000 employees worldwide.

A well-planned information architecture was the foundation of the new intranet concept and solution. Microsoft best practices and default functionalities were applied as much as possible to ensure a scalable and sustainable solution with easy maintenance and flexible continuous development possibilities.
