HiQ HELPS FINTOTO GO MOBILE
HiQ creates a mobile service for Fintoto, bringing the excitement of horse and harness racing and betting to mobile users. The new mobile service is a part of Fintoto’s new digital strategy and simplifies by enabling players to bet and follow race broadcasts live via their smartphones.
Harness racing is Finland’s second-most popular sport in terms of spectator numbers. Annually, some 730,000 spectators attend the Finnish racetracks. In 2012, Tote betting amounted to nearly 250 million euros, half of which comes from online gaming.
“The interest in horse racing has continued to grow, but player behaviour made us re-evaluate our betting services. We discovered that there was a significant demand for a mobile solution, especially among new players. We therefore wanted to offer a service that was both modern and useful”, Markku Breider, Managing Director of Fintoto, explains.
