HiQ signs framework agreement with the City of Gothenburg and surrounding municipalities

HiQ has signed a new framework agreement with the City of Gothenburg. The framework agreement also encompasses a number of surrounding municipalities such as Lerum, Kungälv, Partille and Härryda. Authorities and companies such as Renova AB, Göteborgs Energi (Gothenburg Energy), Göteborgs Hamn (the Port of Gothenburg) and the public service vehicle company Gatubolaget are also affiliated to the framework agreement, which covers services within systems and web development. The agreement is effective for two years, with an option to extend.

“HiQ has worked with organisations within the City of Gothenburg for a number of years. A good example is Renova AB, a company that works in waste recycling. HiQ has helped Renova AB to develop of a new transport planning system based on GSM/GPRS. The new agreement will allow us to continue to serve existing clients in the public sector while at the same time expanding our presence in this sector by collaborating with completely new authorities,” says Jerker Lindsten, Managing Director of HiQ Göteborg.

The City of Gothenburg’s various enterprises offer support and services within many areas including schools, care and welfare, planning, road and land maintenance, the environment and recycling, culture and leisure activities, consumer support, public transport, town planning and building permits. The City of Gothenburg has an annual turnover of SEK 34 billion and employs around 45,000 people working within 21 borough administrations, a score of specialist administrative units and around 25 companies.

“HiQ has worked on helping companies and organisations to streamline their businesses using customised solutions for over ten years. The new framework agreement with the City of Gothenburg further strengthens our position within the public sector, a market segment that is important for us to be in. Naturally we are delighted that we will now have opportunity to expand our collaboration with various authorities in the Gothenburg region,” says Lars Stugemo, President and CEO of HiQ.
