HiQ wins framework agreement with The Federation of Swedish Farmers (LRF) concerning development of websites and mobile services for LRF and its subsidiaries. The agreement is signed for two years and a major web project targeted at schoolchildren is already underway.

“HiQ has the know-how, experience and attitude that we need from a partner. We want to attract interest and increase children’s knowledge about the green industries, such as agriculture and forestry, and about the origin of the food that we eat. We believe that HiQ can help us succeed with this,” says Håkan Lind, Head of Communications at LRF.

Today, a large part of LRF’s communication with children and youths consists of brochures that are sent out to schools around Sweden. As HiQ creates the “Farmer in school” web solution schoolteachers and pupils will have digital access to the information. Teachers will also have access to inspiration, knowledge and practical guidance, all in accordance with the Swedish curriculum. The target group for the new web solution is foremost middle school pupils and educationalists.

“In todays connected society, young people’s know-how about life on a farm is decreasing. LRF has an important task in teaching our children about farming as an important and interesting Swedish industry. The digital learning solution that HiQ is developing for LRF is spot-on,” says Magnus Gudéhn of HiQ.

HiQ is an expert within web and mobility and has recently created many innovative solutions in the area of digital learning. For example, HiQ helps the publisher Natur & Kultur with Qnoddarnas Värld, an iPad learning tool for primary school.

“In our connected society, IT is a given part of more and more areas, not least within education. We are proud to have LRF’s confidence to create a solution that improves and simplifies learning,” says Lars Stugemo, President and CEO of HiQ.
