-      New press kit section; WRC and ix35 Fuel Cell pages coming soon

Sept. 11, 2013 Hyundai Motor Co., the worlds fastest-growing automaker by brand value, announced a number of upgrades to its global media website aimed at improving the experience of media members visiting the site.

The first thing viewers will notice is the site’s enhanced design a bolder look that syncs up with Hyundai Motors spirit of dynamism and commitment to quality improvement at every consumer touch point.

But the improvements go more than skin deep. The upgraded site is designed to increase functionality and ease of use for media members and other visitors. This starts with the site’s most important new element:

-      A dedicated section on the home page for downloading press kits from motor shows. The press kit for the 65th Frankfurt Motor Show is currently available on the site.

Other new features include:

-      A redesigned news alert format that includes more content and related material and gives users the option of downloading high-res or low-res photos.

-      A picture-in-picture feature on the site’s home page that enables visitors to easily flip through the four most important news stories.

Coming soon, the upgraded version of hyundaiglobalnews.com will feature a “shopping cart” function that enables visitors to download multiple press kit materials (news releases, photos, videos, etc.) at one click and a dedicated micro-site for Hyundai’s ix35 Fuel Cell, the world’s first assembly-line hydrogen fuel cell vehicle. Also, Hyundai Motorsport’s i20 WRC rally program will have a permanent home on the main page.

The site maintains current features, including a sign-up to receive news releases instantly delivered by email, the ability to share on Google+, Facebook and Twitter, FAQ, a list of Hyundai Motor global media contacts, links to Hyundai Motor leadership, Investor Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility pages and a convenient way to follow the Twitter feed, @hmcglobalpr.

“These upgrades will enable us to serve our visitors more content, more efficiently,” said Frank Ahrens, Hyundai Motor Vice President of Global Corporate Communications. “At the same time, the improved site will spotlight our corporate priorities, including WRC and the ix35 Fuel Cell.”
