Preliminary figures put February 2006 combined sales for ICA retailers in Sweden at SEK 6,245 million, including VAT, up SEK 366 million or 6.2 percent compared to the same month last year. The increase for comparable units was 4.5 percent.

Since the beginning of the year, sales including VAT have risen by 5.9 percent to SEK 12,779 million. For comparable units, the increase for the same period was 4.2 percent.

Breakdown of February sales for ICA stores in Sweden:

Maxi ICA Stormarknad stores reported increase in sales of 14.9 percent to SEK 1,305 million. The increase for comparable units was 4.4 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 14.6 percent to SEK 2,704 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 4.3 percent.

ICA Kvantum stores reported increase in sales of 7.1 percent to SEK 1,725 million. The increase for comparable units was 5.4 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 6.7 percent to SEK 3,542 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 4.9 percent.

ICA Supermarket stores reported an increase in sales of 2.8 percent to SEK 2,244 million. The increase for comparable units was 4.1 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 2.4 percent to SEK 4,577 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 3.6 percent.

ICA Nära stores reported an increase in sales of 2.2 percent to SEK 971 million. The increase for comparable units was 3.8 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 2.3 percent to SEK 1,956 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 4.1 percent.
