KME Yorkshire has streamlined its warehousing and logistics operation as part of its commitment to adapting to the ever changing needs of the industry.

A dedicated fleet and the ability to hold less stock whilst still meeting customer demand means the company can react to the volatility of the price of raw materials and pass savings onto customers.

Simon Spalding, Logistics Manager at KME Yorkshire explains: “We are extremely proud of the fantastic facilities we have here in Kirkby and we carry out regular reviews to ensure that we continue to provide high levels of customer service.

“With an ever changing market and fluctuating prices we identified several factors that we could implement to further improve the way we work and we see this as an ongoing process that will reflect current industry conditions.

“Our dedicated warehousing and logistics operation goes from strength to strength and faster turnaround times for products allow us to react to the needs of customers across the UK and beyond.

“As part of our transparency and open door policy, we have been conducting many factory and warehouse tours, which have proved very popular with clients.

“Both current and potential customers are more than welcome to come along and see how we produce, store and distribute the products that matter to them.”

Operating from one of the most modern factories in the world, KME Yorkshire Ltd combines advanced manufacturing methods and sophisticated quality control techniques to ensure that only consistently high standard tubes are supplied to customers.

Ongoing substantial investment programmes are testament to the company’s commitment to excellence in product quality and customer service and all KME Yorkshire’s copper plumbing products are made to the European Standard BS EN 1057.

The company holds the coveted British Standard Institute ‘Kitemark’ approval status and offers extensive guarantees to give added peace of mind that its copper tube products will give long-term, trouble-free service.

KME Yorkshire is a member of the KME Group of companies, which together represent Europe’s largest producer of copper and copper alloy materials.
