IFS solution to replace legacy systems and enhance operations throughout HEINZ-GLAS’ 16 sites in 12 countries

IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announces that HEINZ-GLAS, a global leader the in manufacture and processing of glass flacons and caps for the perfume and cosmetics industry, has decided to implement IFS Applications™ 9 as a future-proof platform that can support international growth and power its digital transformation projects.

HEINZ-GLAS, headquartered in Kleintettau, Germany, is a global glassmaking company that operates 16 production and sales sites in 12 countries worldwide.

In line with the company’s corporate strategy, HEINZ-GLAS decided to replace its landscape of legacy business solutions with a comprehensive and modern ERP solution. Following an extensive and highly competitive selection process, which was supported by the highly respected Fraunhofer Project Group for Applied Information Technology (FIT), HEINZ-GLAS chose IFS Applications 9 over several well-known competitors.

Among the key requirements for the new ERP system were intuitive usability, flexible extensibility as well as compliance with country-specific regulations. Standardized data across the group will also increase transparency and foster effective corporate management. In addition, the fully integrated IFS solution will support HEINZ-GLAS digitally transform into a company that can embrace Industry 4.0.

The IFS solution will support business-critical processes such as financials, human resources, supply chain management, engineering, manufacturing, sales and service, maintenance, business process as well as document and quality management. During the first phase, IFS Applications will be implemented at four glass and finishing locations in Germany. This phase will be followed by a global roll out.
