IFS ERP system to support over 300 employees in accessing real-time customer information and capturing revenue opportunities

IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announces that J & E Hall International, a leading global refrigeration solutions provider, will implement IFS Applications™ 9 to streamline its business processes and empower its mobile workforce; enabling better operational decisions, improved customer service and increased revenue opportunities.

As a result of organic growth and acquisitions, UK-based J & E Hall was growing quickly and needed a solution that could support its future business developments, while standardizing core processes including invoicing and after-sales support, and providing visibility on huge volumes of data in real-time.

After a thorough review of the ERP market, J & E Hall chose IFS Applications 9 to replace its many legacy systems. The IFS solution includes functionality for project management and enterprise service management (ESM), to consolidate processes across its different business units including the manufacturing and marine divisions.

A key part of the implementation is to enable J & E Hall’s mobile workforce. With IFS Enterprise Service Management, over 100 field engineers will now be able to process key data while working at commercial and off-shore locations. For example, accessing vital information about the work that needs to be done and materials required, and then logging time and expenses back into the central system.

“Our customers range from pharmaceutical organizations that rely on our products to keep vital medicines cool, to pub landlords looking to chill their drinks. As such, we need to have a reliable IT platform at our fingertips that can allow us to retain our focus on providing quick and efficient services in and out of the office, while also providing the insight our workforce needs to be able to turnaround new opportunities. We chose IFS because of the solution’s ability to meet these challenges, while at the same time demonstrating a deep understanding of the needs in our sector,” said Mark Roberts, Managing Director, J & E Hall.

IFS Europe West managing director Paul Massey said, “This is a significant agreement that will see J & E Hall increase its business agility by consolidating legacy systems and operations to transform its business processes. J & E Hall will have a common view of its customers, better control of projects, service contracts and invoicing moving forwards with IFS Applications 9.”
