Efficiency and growth plans spur investment in IoT-connected ERP solution from IFS

IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announces that New Standard Corporation, a contract manufacturuer based in York, P.A., has selected IFS Applications™ to help it streamline processes spanning quoting, new product introduction (NPI), and invoicing with the intention to improve customer experience.

New Standard Corporation provides components and subassemblies to leading brands in the construction and mining equipment, automotive and appliance markets. The complexity of the projects it takes on has increased over the last three years, requiring more granular serialization and batch tracing for warranty, recall and regulatory purposes.

By implementing IFS Applications, New Standard Corporation plans to:

  • Reduce by 50 percent time spent on front-office processes like tracking metrics, quote generation, month-end close and P&L
  • Prepare to integrate data from connected devices with ERP through IFS IoT Business Connector
  • Streamline the supply chain by communicating demand signals to vendors and partners
  • Implement IFS Business Intelligence to leverage realtime data and reporting to enable better enterprise decision-making

New Standard Corporation Special Projects Manager, Chad Johnson, said: “New Standard Corporation has secured its position in the market by delivering on-time at competitive prices with no defects “IFS Applications will help us drive even more value for customers and stakeholders by replacing manual processes across functions like engineering, procurement and project management, enabling us to streamline the entire quote-to-cash value stream. The delivery of customer- and vendor-facing portals to enhance visibility and communication with our upstream and downstream supply chain partners will be an immediate priority. But we also appreciate the fact that IFS Applications has a defined pathway for us to port IoT data from our equipment into our system of record to facilitate predictive maintenance and establish trend lines we can use to drive our quality management programs.”

IFS Vice President of Sales in North America, Katherine James, added, “Middle market manufacturers that serve Fortune 500 companies—like New Standard—face daunting challenges. Their customers place more complex demands upon them, delegate more and more responsibility and expect greater transparency. These demands must be met while holding the line on cost and conforming to rigorous quality and traceability standards. IFS Applications can equip them to succeed in this environment and grow revenue without a corresponding increase in staffing or cost.”
