Swedish supplier to fuel distribution companies selects IFS Applications 9 to support rapid growth

Wennstrom Fuel Systems uses IFS to integrate key business processes across three regions, supporting over 100 mobile service engineers.

IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announces that Swedish supplier of products and services to fuel distribution companies Wennstrom Fuel Systems will implement IFS Applications™ 9 to integrate key processes and consolidate the business to support future growth. The solution was sold and will be implemented and supported by IFS’s Scandinavian partner Novacura, a member of the IFS Partner Network.

Wennstrom Fuel Systems, part of the Wennstrom Group, is a rapidly growing supplier of products, services, and maintenance for fuel distribution and refueling sites in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland with over 200 employees in northern Europe.

To ensure business control during the company’s phase of rapid growth, Wennstrom Fuel Systems needed an ERP solution that could help its four regions generate comprehensive and detailed overview of financial information at group level. The company also wanted to facilitate the process of delivering services at, or above, the agreed Service Levels (SLA).

IFS Applications 9 will support these needs, leveraging its powerful modules for finance, service management, and mobile work order management. The mobile capabilities were key to the company as they have over 100 mobile users that operate in the field, servicing pump stations. Using IFS Mobile Work Order and the service management capabilities, the company’s service technicians will be able to quickly access information and manage orders within IFS Applications while in the field, making significant savings time and resources.

"IFS Applications will be a vital component in our future business growth and customer service improvement,” Wennstrom Fuel Systems MD Claes Bonnier said. “The solution will provide us with a flexible and future-proof platform that enables a more efficient, agile and mobile organization.”

With implementation commencing in December 2015, IFS’s partner Novacura will replace the previous ERP system Movex with IFS Applications 9. The solution will be implemented without customizations, resulting in a rapid implementation process, where the system is planned to go live in Finland in April 2016 and in Sweden and Norway in September 2016. There is also an option to implement the solution at the company’s Danish site at a later stage.

Glenn Arnesen, CEO of IFS Scandinavia added, “This is a great win for IFS and our partner Novacura, and also a great example of how IFS Applications can support a smaller company’s rapid growth. It also highlights how an ERP solution can effectively consolidate key business processes and develop the core business by improving effectiveness for a large mobile workforce.”
