Art Richer, who has served as the company’s President since 2007, has been elevated to the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President, effective December 1, 2013. In his new role as CEO and President, Mr. Richer will assume responsibility for leading the strategic direction of the company as well as daily operations.

Jeff Copeland, who is a co-founder of the company and has served as Chairman and CEO since 1997, will assume the role of Executive Chairman, focusing on strategic growth initiatives.

These changes will allow immixGroup to focus its growth strategy and invest in new capabilities while maintaining business continuity and offering additional value for its manufacturer clients, channel partners, and government customers.

“We wanted to recognize and build upon Art’s success as President over the past six years,” said Copeland. “These changes will enable us to continue our tradition of outstanding service to our technology clients and government customers while also bringing a renewed focus on long-term growth through additional investment and deeper strategic engagement with our Board of Directors and shareholders.”

“I’m excited to take on a larger role in our company,” said Richer, who also serves on the company’s Board of Directors. “These are challenging times for government contractors, but immixGroup has successfully evolved over the years and will continue to do so to help our clients grow their public sector business. I look forward to driving the next phase of our company’s success.”

An accomplished sales and business development executive with more than 25 years of extensive experience selling IT products and services within the government sector, Mr. Richer has worked with technology manufacturers of all sizes, ranging from very large and established companies to numerous high-growth and emerging technology firms. He has helped technology companies grow their government business through cohesive sales, channel, marketing, and business development strategies.

Mr. Richer served as immixGroup’s President since 2007 and in that role held full daily operational responsibility for the business. During that period, immixGroup grew from 76 to nearly 300 employees, increased annual sales through its contracts from $221 million to more than $1 billion, and garnered many industry awards for its performance as a government contractor and public sector business partner for leading IT companies. It has been named to Washington Business Journal’s list of the 50 fastest growing companies in the Washington, DC region and to the Inc. Magazine 500 | 5,000 list of the country’s fastest growing private companies in each of the past four years.

In his new role as Executive Chairman, Mr. Copeland will remain a strategic leader of the company, now with the ability to increasingly focus on investment opportunities and growth initiatives for the company.
