Impilo adds senior resources

Impilo, the Nordic investment company focusing on healthcare and health-related investments has recruited two new team members. Impilo now has eight investment professionals and three industrial partners with complementary backgrounds.

- Magnus Edlund joins Impilo as an investment partner after nine years at Altor Equity Partners, and prior to that five years at the Boston Consulting Group; Magnus has an MSc. in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.

- Jens Bager joins Impilo as an industrial partner; most recently, Jens was the CEO of ALK-Abello for 16 years and currently serves as chairman for Ambu A/S, Better Collective A/S, and is member of the board of the Grundfos Foundation. Jens has an M.Sc in Economics and Business Administration, Copenhagen Business School.

Impilo invests in companies that contribute to the development of the healthcare sector overall. Impilo will invest in companies active in the pharmaceutical, medtech and healthcare services sectors, as well as other health related activities. Targeted companies should improve the quality of care, increase availability of care, reduce or postpone the need for care and/or increase the cost efficiency for care.

Impilo has made one investment, in Ferrosan Medical Devices, a leading developer and manufacturer of hemostats. Impilo has a capital base of circa SEK 3 bn from leading Nordic and international investors.
