Insight Consulting & Design’s Bruce Russo Guides New Restaurants Like Nosh Euro Bistro to Success in Tough Times
The Dallas firm focuses on functional designs for shops, eateries and entertainment venues
DALLAS, TEXAS (May 1, 2012) -- For a small restaurant like Chef Avner Samuel’s and Chef Jon Stevens's Nosh Euro Bistro in Highland Park to succeed in a troubled economy is notable; for it to expand into a second location in Plano after barely a year in business is amazing. Nosh owes its success in part to prestigious Dallas-based firm Insight Consulting & Design, which also currently designing another restaurant for the pair of chefs launching next week.
Insight’s principal, Bruce Russo, whose favorite architect is Frank Lloyd Wright, said, “The guiding philosophy for Insight is ‘form follows function,’ and we work with clients like Nosh Euro Bistro to ensure that the design matches how they want the restaurant to run. As a result, Insight delivers results far beyond architecture, offering businesses measurable outcomes that increase traffic, sales, and efficiency while minimizing energy costs and invigorating employees and customers.”
Russo brings over 40 years experience in the construction business and has designed and built over 150 restaurants nationwide so far in his career such as: Woodlands American Grill in Chicago, Denver and Dallas; Mexico Cantina in Denver and Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; Bengal Coast and Toulouse both in Dallas. Bruce Russo, also referred to as B. Russo Designs, was featured on Designing DFW with Jocelyn White on Sunday, April 29, 2012 on WFAA Channel 8 on ABC. In 2007 he correctly predicted that standalone restaurants would begin to shrink down to a 3,000 to 4,000 square foot range before major restaurant firms like Brinker International and Darden began doing just that. He also predicted that fine dining eateries would become a more casual atmosphere. In keeping with this prediction, Insight specializes in small concept restaurants, guiding many to success beyond their expectations.
Russo is a third-generation builder, making his son and partner Joe Russo the fourth generation of the family to go into a construction-related field. Joe Russo is steadily starting to match his father's superb track record, working with clients such as Dallas' American Airlines Center entertainment venue, Pier 1 Imports’ Fort Worth headquarters, and a variety of new restaurants.
In addition to the two Nosh Euro Bistros, the father-son team of Insight Consulting & Design have designed and built the Barcadia Fort Worth and Houston locations, the B Squared Entertainment Complex in New Orleans (which incorporates both Barcadia and the Ohm Lounge), Dallas' The Shops of Highland Park, and Jucy's Hamburgers in Tyler, Texas. These are just a few of the numerous projects Insight has completed.
