Instalco grows in Finland

Instalco strengthens its position in Finland via the acquisition of Twinputki Oy, a company with specialist expertise in automatic sprinkler systems.

Twinputki Oy is situated in Kerava, near Helsinki. It was founded in 2005 and it currently has about ten direct employees. The company has operations throughout Finland, but its focus is Helsinki, Tampere and the surrounding areas. For the 2017/2018 business year, sales were approximately SEK 28 million.

“Twinputki is an expert in automatic sprinkler systems and it will strengthen our position in the heating & plumbing sector in Finland. The company already collaborates with several of our Finnish companies and it is a great addition to our overall service offering in Finland,” says Robin Boheman, Business Area Manager for Instalco Finland.

Twinputki is a second generation, family-owned business. It is owned by the family Kojo and Tero Sahala and they will keep their roles in the company even after the acquisition.

The company offers project planning and installation of sprinkler systems used at business facilities, hotels, warehouses and offices. Over the last few years, they have executed major installations projects at shopping malls in Helsinki, Espoo, Hämeenlinna, Tornio, Vantaa and Tampere.

“We have closely collaborated with several Instalco companies in Finland for quite some time. Joining the group offers us excellent opportunities to expand our operations,” says Jari Kojo, Twintputki.

Instalco will acquire 100 percent of the shares in Twinputki Oy as of 16 November 2018.
