Keynotes are joined by a stimulating selection of multi-channel retail and e-commerce giants

London, UK, 17 August 2011 – The agenda and speaker line-up has been announced for the 6th annual Internet Retailing Conference 2011, taking place on 4th October at Novotel London West, Hammersmith. In just one day, IR 2011 ‘A Marathon of Sprints’ will pack in a distinguished keynote session, a provocative three-track conference programme, insightful free-to-attend workshops and a showcase area for exhibitors. The day will commence with ‘The Big 3’ keynote featuring ebay, ASDA and Facebook, followed by top-notch presentations from leading online authorities and multi-channel retailers. At 9.30am, industry guru and Editor-in-Chief of Internet Retailing magazine Ian Jindal will open the conference and keynote session, introducing Mark Hodgkinson, Digital and Financial Services Director at ASDA, and Gavin Sathianathan, Head of Commerce Partnerships at Facebook and Miriam Lahage, VP Fashion at ebay. At 10.30am, the room will be reconfigured for the three conference streams to begin at 11.20am, giving delegates time to network and visit the exhibition area. The three Internet Retailing tracks for 2011 are as follows:

Track 1: The Customer

Keeping up with fast changing consumer behaviour and service demands multiple skills, transparent handling and a personal feel that transcends CRM segmentation. This stream examines best practice actions and the latest innovations affecting the customer experience. Confirmed speakers are: Dr Mike Baxter, Managing Director, Sales Logiq; Jo Causon, Chief Executive, Institute of Customer Service; Nick Gassman, Manager, User Experience and Design, British Airways; Sam Peterson SVP, Technology, Website and Merchandising, Overstock.com; Richard Evans, Director of Marketing, EMEA, Silverpop; Zaman Ahmed, Strategy, Innovation and Customer Experience, AirAsia; David Hogg, Industry Marketing Executive – Retail/CPG, EMEA, Sterling Commerce – an IBM Company; and Nigel Randall, Ecommerce Systems Manager, Waitrose.

Track 2: The Team

Learn about the latest approaches, systems and practices being used to mould IT, operations, supply chain efficiencies, warehousing, channels and people into a seamless, efficient, sustainable retail operation in the UK and across borders. Track 3: The Industry

As product presentation has moved to rich media, video or augmented reality, so too have channels evolved into the anytime, anywhere of mobile commerce. This stream looks at how brand proposition, market entry strategy, delivery mechanism and the product itself shape the organisation and system requirements.
