The two major Nordic venture capitalists and holding companies SEB
Företagsinvest and Industrivärden jointly invest SEK 30 M in Interpeak
AB, a leading provider of network security solutions for embedded
systems. The capital contribution is made in two consecutive issues, and
enables the company to further expand aggressively on an international
basis.

Interpeak provides advanced software that enables embedded systems to
use the Internet for secure communication. The company was founded in
year 2000 by four entrepreneurs with outstanding skills in designing
embedded systems and network security. To date, the company has
developed 20 unique products, such as IPv6, IPSec, IKE, SSH and
Firewall. All Interpeak products are specifically designed for embedded
systems, focusing on high performance and small footprint.
Interpeak has currently several customers in the datacom and telecom
markets, and a number of strategic partners such as OSE Systems,
WindRiver Systems, Green Hills, Mentor Graphics and AI Corporation of
Japan.
Interpeak products are designed for embedded systems, which can be found
in most modern industrial and consumer products such as cars, mobile
phones, home appliances, manufacturing machinery etc. During the last
years, the number of embedded systems that use the Internet on-line have
increased rapidly. The need for efficient security solutions is
therefore tremendously high.

Industrivärden, which has been our owner since year 2000," said Johan

more powerful ownership structure, which will be very helpful in our
international expansion. The investment will enable us to fulfill our
mission-to provide state-of-the-art security solutions that allow
embedded systems to realize the full potential of the Internet."
