ISG Takes One America Square Scheme for Blackstone

ISG has been awarded a £5.4 million refurbishment project at One America Square in the City of London, building on the company’s long-standing relationship with global investment firm Blackstone.

The project sees ISG strip out and remodel 35,000 sq ft of office accommodation across four floors of the landmark Art Deco styled building adjacent to Fenchurch Street Station. The high-specification, Cat A fit out scheme will create prime office space in the heart of the City’s traditional insurance and shipping district.

In addition to modernising office accommodation across floors two, seven, eight and nine, ISG will extensively reconfigure the existing ground floor entrance and reception area to create a more spacious and open plan layout. A secondary entrance will be formed to improve accessibility and the lift lobby remodelled and all six lift cars refurbished – a significant challenge within a building part-occupied and in continuous occupation throughout the duration of the project.

Alan McCarthy-Wyper, managing director of ISG’s construction business, commented: “Adding One America Square to our growing portfolio of projects in many of London’s most iconic landmarks is an excellent result for the business and further strengthens our relationship with Blackstone - a key customer for over ten years. Running alongside our £30 million project for Blackstone at the Adelphi Building, ISG continues to demonstrate its credentials working sensitively in architecturally protected buildings, expertly managing complex site logistics and occupancy scenarios to create award winning office environments.”
