All key figures significantly improved year-on-year

Berlin, 30 August 2017 – Berlin-based specialist for public transport IVU Traffic Technologies AG significantly increased its revenues and gross profit in the first half of the year. As a result, the company has raised its outlook for the current fiscal year.

In the first half of 2017, revenues climbed by 15% to €26,153 thousand while gross profit rose by 10% to €19,239 thousand. EBIT was still slightly negative due to seasonal factors at -€592 thousand, but still increased by around €1 million as against the previous year.

The good level of orders also highlights the positive prospects for the year as a whole. This is why IVU is raising its outlook for 2017 and now expects to achieve revenues of over €64 million, gross profit of roughly €46 million and EBIT of around €4 million.

Most recently, IVU acquired Swiss consulting firm STI AG to further expand its position in the Alps region. “The figures for the first half of the year are evidence of our targeted activities in high-margin core markets,” said Martin Müller-Elschner, CEO and CFO of IVU. “IVU is a healthy and strong company that will continue to play a major role in shaping the development of public transport in the future as well.”
