Carmen Crew Tracking software product launched at Finnair
Carmen Systems AB announces that the first implementation of the Carmen Crew Tracking software product has begun at Finnair.
According to Ville Iho, Vice President, Operations Logistics at Finnair, the addition of the Carmen Crew Tracking product now provides Finnair with a truly integrated crew management system.
"With the addition of Carmen Crew Tracking we have created the foundation for applied optimization throughout the crew management process, enabling full cost control in all parts. The advantages of having all components, from Manpower to Tracking, sharing the same optimization, legality, quality definitions, visualization, data and analysis tools, are considerable. We expect this to dramatically change how we work with the entire crew management process, all the way from long-term resource forecasting to the detailed decisions on the day of operation."
Erik Andersson, CTO at Carmen Systems, adds, “We are very proud to have Finnair as the launching client, of what has been one of our most ambitious development projects to date. We are confident that this partnership will result in a new industry standard, similarly to previous partnerships which have placed Carmen’s crew planning software solutions in this position. Our new fully integrated crew management system will allow airlines to replace legacy systems and switch to a much more dynamic and efficient way of planning, controlling and interacting with crew. This is instrumental in facilitating the big changes the airline industry is now going through.”
