For Goodness Cake! Breakfast Cupcakes Recipe Wins Grand Prize

FORT ATKINSON, Wis. – Jones Dairy Farm, makers of high-quality pork products since 1889, is pleased to announce the grand prize winner of its second annual Rise, Sizzle and Shine Recipe Contest. Ronna Farley, from Rockville, Maryland, claimed the grand prize of $2,000 for her For Goodness Cake! Breakfast Cupcakes recipe.

More than 280 entries were submitted, from which Jones Dairy Farm judges selected three finalists. To determine the grand prize winner, Jones Dairy Farm Facebook fans were invited to vote for their favorite recipe. The three finalists included Farley’s For Goodness Cake! Breakfast Cupcakes as well as Wrap N’ Roll Breakfast Egg Rolls and Sweet and Savory Stuffed French Toast.

Farley’s recipe, which features Jones All Natural Golden Brown Sausage Links, combines savory, cheesy flavors in the cupcake with a sweet, creamy frosting.

“I am thrilled and excited to have been chosen as the Grand Prize Winner of the Jones Rise, Sizzle and Shine Contest!” said Farley. “I have always loved Jones sausage links, and it was a joy to create a new, exciting breakfast recipe.”

“It’s so rewarding to see what our fans create in the kitchen with our products,” said Phillip Jones, President and CEO of Jones Dairy Farm. “We were once again impressed with the culinary creativity we saw in the entries, and we’re looking forward to next year’s competition.”
