The flooring company Kährs Group is reorganizing its hardwood flooring production and has decided to close its production unit in Tuupovaara, Finland.

Twenty-one employees are affected and the implementation of the closure will start immediately and notices of termination will be given to the employees as soon as possible.

Kährs Group is continuously evaluating its supply footprint to optimize capacity and streamline operations. The demand for products produced at the Tuupovaara unit have declined in recent years.

“Streamlining our supply footprint and adjusting our production network to what is in demand is necessary to secure our long-term ability to provide customers with competitive, high-quality hardwood floors”, says Christer Persson, President and CEO of Kährs Group.
