  • Over 50 four and five-star Cypriot hotels unite to launch the ‘Summer is Cyprus’ campaign for 2014, offering the opportunity for 50 lucky travellers to win 50 seven-night holidays, experiencing the legendary Cypriot hospitality

  • Competition launches during WTM on Wednesday 6th between 2pm and 5pm at the Cyprus Tourism Organisation’s stand (EM1100), and will run for 50 weeks 

Building on Cyprus’ famed hospitality, over 50 four and five-star hotels across Cyprus have united to offer the ‘The Biggest Holiday Competition in the World’ competition. Launching next Wednesday, 6th November during WTM on the CTO’s stand (EM1100), the competition will run for 50 weeks – offering the opportunity for 50 lucky winners to win 50 seven-night holidays, for a winner and guest*.

In conjunction with the CTO and Cyprus’ two Hotel Associations STEK and PASYKSE, the ‘Summer is Cyprus’ campaign will be promoted through a dedicated microsite - www.summeriscyprus.com - and social media channels**, shining the light on Cyprus as a welcoming and choice Mediterranean holiday destination.

To be in with a chance of winning a holiday of a lifetime, entrants will be invited to visit www.summeriscyprus.com on a weekly basis. One photo of a different hotel will be featured each week, with an option from three multiple-choice answers. The winning entry will be picked at random once a week, for 50 weeks. The prize offered by each participating hotel, will be a seven-night stay for two people in a sea-view room, including daily breakfast (prize does not include flights). ‘The Biggest Holiday Competition in the World’ launch will take place on the CTO’s stand (EM1100) during WTM, on Wednesday 6th November between 2pm and 5pm. Visitors to the stand will be able to enjoy traditional Cypriot refreshments, as well as learn more about the competition from the range of exhibiting hoteliers.

*Competition Terms & Conditions:

1.    The competition will commence on 8th November 2013 and will run for 50 weeks

2.    Each week a winner will be drawn at random from the collated correct entries relating to the hotel of that week

3.    The prize offered by each participating hotel will be a seven-night stay for two people in a sea view room to include buffet breakfast

4.    Every week the winner will be announced on the ‘Summer is Cyprus’ website and he/she will receive an emailed voucher issued by the hotel confirming his/her prize

5.    Prize Holidays must be taken by 30th April 2015 excluding peak periods and are subject to hotel availability at the time of request

6.    Instructions on how to book the holiday will be indicated on the voucher received by each winner

7.    By entering entrants agree to participate in reasonable publicity in the event that they are a winner. This may include use of their name and image in online publicity, in emails, and through any other print or social media

8.    Entrants agree that by entering the competition their personal details may be stored and otherwise processed by the competition organisers for the purposes of administering the competition and for marketing and sending offers and other information. The entrants details may also be passed to selected travel related third parties, particularly the hotels involved in the competition.

9.    As a condition of entry, competition entrants agree to indemnify the organisers and their affiliates, officers, employees and agents from and against any and all liabilities, other expenses (including costs and legal fees) and damages arising out of claims resulting directly or indirectly from such entry.
