KGH Customs Services has acquired Oy Atlas Spedition ja Huolinta AB (‘Atlas’) in Finland, thus strengthening its position as Europe’s leading and fastest growing independent partner for customs compliance.

Atlas was founded in 1997 in Tornio, Finland and is today one of the leading customs companies in the northern parts of Scandinavia. After the acquisition, KGH will have 650 employees in 11 countries.

The acquisition of Atlas follows KGH’s recent expansion in France, Italy and the Czech Republic. It is a part of our long-term strategy to develop a full-fledged pan-European customs company, capable of offering comprehensive customs services in all major European countries.

“With the acquisition of Atlas, we will further strengthen our services to our customers, says Vidar Gundersen, CEO of KGH. Atlas is well-known for its outstanding service quality and has a long experience of serving demanding customers in the northern parts of Scandinavia. We want to continue the positive development and further expand the services offered. With this acquisition, we have established our own service capability in the Finnish marketplace which will be positive for both our local and international customers.”
