As part of this award, Kongsberg Automotive will develop and deliver pneumatic lumbar and side support systems including massage functionality to a total of 19 different vehicles. The vehicles are spread across the B, C, CUV and SUV segments. The first vehicle has start of production in the third quarter of 2017.

“This award shows that Kongsberg Automotive is a leader in premium seat comfort. We are very pleased to be trusted by and allowed to work with two of the best vehicle manufacturers in the world,” said EVP for Kongsberg Automotive’s Interiors division, Scott Paquette.

The seat comfort systems will be based on uniquely in-house developed technology. Our global development resources have been involved in the advanced development work.

“Having the right technology, people and manufacturing footprint has been instrumental in securing this important award. We plan to continue to build on and further strengthen these competitive advantages and expect to see increased growth within the seat comfort area going forward,” said VP Sales & Marketing, Hans Jørgen Mørland.
