Magnus Fagerstedt new CEO for KPMG Sweden

KPMG has recruited Magnus Fagerstedt as CEO for its Swedish operation. Magnus Fagerstedt is a highly regarded auditor with assignments from several different industries including the financial sector, public sector and healthcare. Magnus has been a partner at EY since 1997 and has had various assignments within the Swedish and Nordic management organization.

“Magnus has a proven ability to drive and implement changes. He has extensive experience in executing leadership and creating effective organizations.. Magnus will have time to devote all his energies to achieving the operation’s overall objectives and the implementation of KPMG’s strategic plan, which we feel is crucial for a professional service company in tomorrow’s world,” says KPMG chairman, Björn Hallin.

KPMG has around 1,700 employees in 50 locations around Sweden active in auditing, accounting, tax and consulting. KPMG is owned by 99 partners, and its revenues in 2016 were just over SEK 2.1 billion.

Magnus will take office as CEO of KPMG Sweden on August 14.
